Ghosh alleged that his car's windshields were broken and he sustained a shoulder injury during the incident. He claimed attackers had sharp weapons and attempted to kill him, adding he received no police assistance. Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee blamed the BJP for trying to disrupt the rally, while the BJP dismissed the allegations as TMC's internal conflict.

पश्चिम बंगाल के हुगली जिले में टीएमसी विधायक कुणाल घोष की गाड़ी पर अंडे और पत्थर फेंके गए। वह एक रैली में जा रहे थे। घोष का आरोप है कि उनकी गाड़ी के शीशे टूट गए और उन्हें कंधे में चोट आई। उन्होंने कहा कि हमलावरों के पास धारदार हथियार थे और वे उन्हें मारना चाहते थे। उन्होंने पुलिस से मदद न मिलने का भी दावा किया। मुख्यमंत्री ममता बनर्जी ने इसके लिए बीजेपी को जिम्मेदार ठहराया, लेकिन बीजेपी ने इसे टीएमसी का आपसी झगड़ा बताया।
