Durga Puja festivities began across Tripura on Friday, drawing large crowds to pandals and markets in Agartala. The formal five-day celebration started with Shashthi rituals, but many visited pandals and shopped earlier in the day. The rush intensified after office and school hours, causing Agartala's traffic to come to a standstill for hours. Pleasant weather and the absence of vehicle restrictions drew visitors from across the state, but the surge in vehicles led to significant congestion. Major highways and key intersections reported long queues, delaying devotees and disrupting celebrations.

अगरतला में दुर्गा पूजा की वजह से भारी ट्रैफिक जाम

पूरे त्रिपुरा में शुक्रवार को दुर्गा पूजा का उत्सव शुरू हो गया, जिससे अगरतला के पंडालों और बाजारों में भारी भीड़ उमड़ पड़ी। पांच दिन के औपचारिक उत्सव की शुरुआत षष्ठी अनुष्ठान से हुई, लेकिन कई लोग दिन में पहले ही पंडालों में घूमने और खरीदारी करने पहुंच गए थे। ऑफिस और स्कूल के समय के बाद भीड़ और बढ़ गई, जिससे अगरतला का ट्रैफिक घंटों तक ठप हो गया। सुहावने मौसम और वाहनों पर किसी भी तरह की पाबंदी न होने के कारण राज्य भर से लोग यहां आए, लेकिन वाहनों की अचानक बढ़ी संख्या से भारी जाम लग गया।
