Gem Granites Founder Veeramani POCSO Case: SIT to File Charge Sheet Soon

The Madras High Court was informed on Monday that a Special Investigation Team (SIT) will soon file a charge sheet in the case against R. Veeramani, founder of ‘Gem Granites’. The 84-year-old is accused under the POCSO Act for allegedly sexually exploiting minor girls over several years. The SIT is also investigating attempts by some Indian Police Service officers to shield the prime accused. The court had previously refused to order a CBI probe, emphasizing the SIT's need to investigate the sensitive matter undisturbed.
