UP Teachers' Council Polls See BJP-SP Clash Amid Interference Claims

Polling for the Gorakhpur-Faizabad divisional teachers' constituency in Uttar Pradesh began on Friday, marked by allegations of poll interference and confrontations between BJP and Samajwadi Party workers. A heated exchange occurred at DAV Degree College, with both parties accusing each other of attempting to influence the voting process. Meanwhile, an MLC has requested the Chief Election Commissioner to remove an election observer, citing a CBI FIR and alleged irregularities. A total of 54,910 teachers are eligible to vote for 16 candidates.

उत्तर प्रदेश में गोरखपुर-फैजाबाद मंडलीय शिक्षक निर्वाचन क्षेत्र के लिए शुक्रवार को मतदान शुरू हुआ, जिसमें चुनाव में हस्तक्षेप के आरोपों और बीजेपी व समाजवादी पार्टी के कार्यकर्ताओं के बीच टकराव देखा गया। डीएवी डिग्री कॉलेज में दोनों पक्षों के बीच तीखी नोकझोंक हुई, जिसमें एक-दूसरे पर मतदान प्रक्रिया को प्रभावित करने की कोशिश का आरोप लगाया गया। वहीं, एक एमएलसी ने सीबीआई एफआईआर और कथित अनियमितताओं का हवाला देते हुए मुख्य चुनाव आयुक्त से एक चुनाव पर्यवेक्षक को हटाने का अनुरोध किया है। कुल 54,910 शिक्षक 16 उम्मीदवारों के लिए मतदान करने के पात्र हैं।
