Kashmir Marathon Attracts 2000 Participants, Boosts Sports Tourism

Over 2000 participants, including 1,221 locals, 513 from across India, and 73 foreign athletes from 12 countries, attended the third edition of the Kashmir International Marathon in Srinagar. J&K Chief Minister Omar Abdullah flagged off the event, stating it strengthens the region's position as a global sports tourism destination. Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha highlighted the marathon's growing international stature and its role in promoting fitness.

श्रीनगर में कश्मीर इंटरनेशनल मैराथन के तीसरे संस्करण में 2000 से ज़्यादा लोगों ने हिस्सा लिया। इनमें 1,221 स्थानीय लोग, 513 पूरे भारत से और 12 देशों के 73 विदेशी एथलीट शामिल थे। जम्मू-कश्मीर के मुख्यमंत्री उमर अब्दुल्ला ने इस कार्यक्रम को हरी झंडी दिखाई और कहा कि इससे यह क्षेत्र खेल पर्यटन के लिए एक वैश्विक मंज़िल के तौर पर मज़बूत होगा। उपराज्यपाल मनोज सिन्हा ने मैराथन के बढ़ते अंतरराष्ट्रीय स्तर और फिटनेस को बढ़ावा देने में इसकी भूमिका पर ज़ोर दिया।
