RBI's New Bhubaneswar Data Centre Boosts Financial System Resilience

The Reserve Bank of India's new data centre in Bhubaneswar aims to enhance the resilience of India's financial system and improve the uptime of critical services. Governor Sanjay Malhotra stated the facility, which has Tier 4 accreditation, will operate independently of third-party cloud providers. This centre will support payment systems like NEFT and RTGS, government banking operations via the e-Kuber platform, and applications for regulated entities. It is expected to improve service quality, reduce downtime, and strengthen the overall financial infrastructure.

RBI का भुवनेश्वर में नया डेटा सेंटर भारत के वित्तीय सिस्टम को और ज़्यादा मज़बूत बनाएगा और ज़रूरी सेवाओं के अपटाइम को सुधारेगा। गवर्नर संजय मल्होत्रा ने कहा कि यह Tier 4 सर्टिफाइड फैसिलिटी थर्ड-पार्टी क्लाउड प्रोवाइडर्स से अलग काम करेगी। यह सेंटर NEFT और RTGS जैसे पेमेंट सिस्टम, e-Kuber प्लेटफॉर्म के ज़रिए सरकारी बैंकिंग ऑपरेशन्स और रेगुलेटेड एंटिटीज़ के लिए एप्लीकेशन्स को सपोर्ट करेगा। इससे सर्विस की क्वालिटी सुधरेगी, डाउनटाइम कम होगा और पूरी वित्तीय इंफ्रास्ट्रक्चर मज़बूत होगी।
