Congress MP Questions Centre's Mosque Demolition Stance

Congress MP Imran Masood has strongly reacted to the central government's affidavit in Delhi High Court seeking the removal of a 100-year-old mosque from the Krishi Bhawan complex. The government stated that religious structures are incompatible with the secular nature of government property. Masood questioned if temples in police stations and lines would also be removed, arguing that secularism must apply equally to all religions. He urged the Muslim community to maintain peace and not engage in divisive politics.

कांग्रेस सांसद इमरान मसूद ने दिल्ली हाई कोर्ट में केंद्र सरकार के उस हलफनामे पर कड़ी प्रतिक्रिया दी है जिसमें कृषि भवन परिसर से 100 साल पुरानी मस्जिद को हटाने की मांग की गई है। सरकार ने कहा कि धार्मिक ढांचे सरकारी संपत्ति की धर्मनिरपेक्ष प्रकृति के साथ असंगत हैं। मसूद ने सवाल उठाया कि क्या पुलिस स्टेशनों और लाइनों में बने मंदिरों को भी हटाया जाएगा, यह तर्क देते हुए कि धर्मनिरपेक्षता सभी धर्मों पर समान रूप से लागू होनी चाहिए। उन्होंने मुस्लिम समुदाय से शांति बनाए रखने और विभाजनकारी राजनीति में शामिल न होने का आग्रह किया।
