This shift is driven by higher freight costs and more attractive offers for West Asian crude grades, making them commercially more viable. In the July-September quarter, Russian crude constituted approximately 37% of BPCL's sourcing mix. The company also plans refinery maintenance shutdowns and a stake dilution in its Andhra Pradesh project.
