Delhi Police Detains Over 3,000 Protesters Ahead Of CJP Demonstration

Delhi Police detained over 3,000 protesters attempting to reach Jantar Mantar for a demonstration called by the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP). The CJP protest was against the chief election commissioner over allegations of voter-list manipulation. Over 600 individuals with criminal records were also held as a preventive measure to avoid law and order issues. Police have deployed extensive security and are monitoring movements, appealing to citizens not to participate in unauthorised gatherings.

दिल्ली पुलिस ने जंतर मंतर पर कॉकरोच जनता पार्टी (सीजेपी) द्वारा बुलाए गए प्रदर्शन में पहुँचने की कोशिश कर रहे 3,000 से ज़्यादा प्रदर्शनकारियों को हिरासत में लिया। सीजेपी का विरोध मतदाता सूची में हेरफेर के आरोपों को लेकर मुख्य चुनाव आयुक्त के खिलाफ था। कानून व्यवस्था की समस्या से बचने के लिए निवारक उपाय के तौर पर 600 से ज़्यादा आपराधिक रिकॉर्ड वाले लोगों को भी रोका गया। पुलिस ने व्यापक सुरक्षा तैनात की है और आवाजाही की निगरानी कर रही है, नागरिकों से अनधिकृत सभाओं में भाग न लेने की अपील की है।
