Tamil Nadu Minister Inaugurates New Paddy Storage Facilities in Cuddalore

Tamil Nadu Minister P. Venkataramanan inaugurated two modern paddy storage facilities in Srimushnam taluk, Cuddalore district, costing ₹11.56 crore and capable of storing 7,000 tonnes. These facilities, built with NABARD assistance, aim to protect procured paddy from natural hazards. Five such facilities with a combined capacity of 33,500 tonnes are being developed in Cuddalore district. The new infrastructure will prevent paddy damage during monsoons, ensure safe storage, and facilitate procurement operations for farmers.

तमिलनाडु के मंत्री पी. वेंकटरमणन ने कुड्डलोर जिले के श्रीमुष्णम तालुक में दो आधुनिक धान भंडारण सुविधाओं का उद्घाटन किया। इनकी लागत ₹11.56 करोड़ है और ये 7,000 टन धान का भंडारण कर सकती हैं। NABARD की मदद से बनी ये सुविधाएं खरीदे गए धान को प्राकृतिक आपदाओं से बचाने के लिए हैं। कुड्डलोर जिले में कुल 33,500 टन क्षमता वाली ऐसी पांच सुविधाएं विकसित की जा रही हैं। नई व्यवस्था से मानसून के दौरान धान को खराब होने से बचाया जा सकेगा, सुरक्षित भंडारण सुनिश्चित होगा और किसानों के लिए खरीद प्रक्रिया आसान होगी।
