Indian Equity Markets Decline Amid Rising Bond Yields and FII Outflows
Economic Times Markets · stocks
Indian equity markets reversed early gains to close lower on Monday, with the Nifty 50 falling 0.70% to 22,363 and the BSE Sensex declining 0.76% to 71,925. Sentiment weakened due to a surge in the 10-year bond yield to a three-year high and continued foreign institutional investor outflows amid global uncertainties. Broader markets, however, bucked the trend, with the Nifty Smallcap 100 outperforming. FMCG stocks led sectoral losses, while the Auto index advanced.
