This action follows a Bombay High Court order directing a central agency probe due to perceived shortcomings in the Mumbai Police's investigation. The court criticized the police for not registering an FIR despite an ongoing investigation for nearly six years.

सीबीआई ने दिशा सालियान की मौत के मामले में एफआईआर दर्ज की है। दिशा, दिवंगत एक्टर सुशांत सिंह राजपूत की पूर्व मैनेजर थीं। बॉम्बे हाई कोर्ट के आदेश के बाद यह कार्रवाई हुई है। कोर्ट ने मुंबई पुलिस की जांच में खामियां बताते हुए केंद्रीय एजेंसी से जांच कराने को कहा था। कोर्ट ने यह भी कहा कि लगभग छह साल से जांच चलने के बावजूद पुलिस ने एफआईआर दर्ज नहीं की थी।
