Noel Tata Objects to Chandrasekaran Reappointment

Tata Trusts chairman Noel Tata has raised strong objections to N Chandrasekaran's reappointment as Tata Sons chairman, calling the process illegal. Noel Tata claimed the board applied different constitutional rules in 2022 and for the recent reappointment. He also stated the announcement was made prematurely, before securing legal opinion and a general meeting approval. Despite Noel Tata's opposing vote, the board reappointed Chandrasekaran for five more years with a casting vote.
