Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) navy has claimed it captured a second advanced US unmanned underwater vehicle, the Remus 600, in the Strait of Hormuz. Iranian military authorities described the operation as targeting the "second subsurface [submarine] of the American terrorist army." The IRGC stated the vehicle was engaged in espionage activities within the strategic waterway. The captured drone will be analyzed by military technicians to retrieve its data. The IRGC reiterated its stance on maritime traffic, declaring the Strait of Hormuz closed and vowing action against unauthorized passage.
