Indian Air Force Chief Air Chief Marshal AP Singh completed his final flight in an HJT-16 Kiran Mk-1 training aircraft. This flight marked the end of his over four-decade-long aviation career. Notably, his first flight instructor, Wing Commander VS Kochar (Retd), accompanied him on this 55-minute journey. The Kiran aircraft is significant as it's used for training new pilots. This symbolic flight honored the rich training tradition of the IAF and the enduring bond between instructors and trainees.

भारतीय वायु सेना के प्रमुख एयर चीफ मार्शल एपी सिंह ने HJT-16 किरण Mk-1 प्रशिक्षण विमान में अपनी आखिरी उड़ान पूरी की। इस उड़ान ने उनके चार दशक से अधिक के विमानन करियर का अंत किया। खास बात यह है कि उनके पहले उड़ान प्रशिक्षक, विंग कमांडर वीएस कोचर (सेवानिवृत्त), इस 55 मिनट की यात्रा में उनके साथ थे। किरण विमान महत्वपूर्ण है क्योंकि इसका उपयोग नए पायलटों को प्रशिक्षित करने के लिए किया जाता है। इस प्रतीकात्मक उड़ान ने IAF की समृद्ध प्रशिक्षण परंपरा और प्रशिक्षकों तथा प्रशिक्षुओं के बीच स्थायी बंधन का सम्मान किया।
