Kenya Confirms Second Ebola Case, A Close Family Member

Kenya's Ministry of Health has confirmed a second Ebola infection, a 39-year-old man who is a close family member of the country's first case. The second patient fell ill with fever, fatigue, and joint pain and was already in quarantine when symptoms appeared. The first case, a citizen who had lived in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), travelled to Kenya and died shortly after arrival, raising concerns about border screening. Kenya has intensified its response, tracing contacts and quarantining individuals.
