Pottepalem Bridge Inaugurated in Nellore, Ending Four-Decade Wait for Locals

A high-level vented bridge across the sluice connecting Nellore Cheruvu tank with the Penna river was inaugurated in Nellore on Friday. This marks the end of a four-decade wait for the long-pending project, which faced significant delays due to water release issues. The bridge, constructed at a cost of ₹6.54 crore, will ease travel for residents of four Assembly constituencies. Previously, the road was often inundated during the rainy season, making it difficult and risky for commuters.

शुक्रवार को नेल्लोर में नेल्लोर चेरुवु टैंक को पेन्ना नदी से जोड़ने वाले स्लुइस पर एक हाई-लेवल वेंटेड ब्रिज का उद्घाटन किया गया। यह लंबे समय से अटके प्रोजेक्ट के लिए चार दशक के इंतज़ार का अंत है, जिसमें पानी छोड़े जाने के मुद्दों के कारण काफी देरी हुई थी। ₹6.54 करोड़ की लागत से बने इस ब्रिज से चार विधानसभा क्षेत्रों के निवासियों के लिए यात्रा आसान हो जाएगी। पहले, बरसात के मौसम में सड़क अक्सर डूब जाती थी, जिससे यात्रियों के लिए यात्रा करना मुश्किल और जोखिम भरा हो जाता था।
