Health Minister Mikhail Murashko highlighted that over 50% of individuals above working age suffer from chronic conditions or frailty. Furthermore, 20% of this demographic have disabilities, with only 25% reporting good health. Addressing chronic diseases is crucial for both individual well-being and the nation's economic prosperity.

रूस को पुरानी बीमारियों की वजह से हर साल करीब 2.5 ट्रिलियन रूबल यानी 29.57 अरब डॉलर का नुकसान हो रहा है। स्वास्थ्य मंत्री मिखाइल मुराश्को ने बताया कि काम करने की उम्र से ऊपर के आधे से ज़्यादा लोग पुरानी बीमारियों या कमज़ोरी से जूझ रहे हैं। इनमें से 20% लोग दिव्यांग हैं और सिर्फ 25% की सेहत अच्छी है। इसलिए, इन बीमारियों का इलाज देश की तरक्की के लिए बहुत ज़रूरी है।
