The initiative aims to prevent haphazard future growth and ensure planned development of essential public facilities.

झारखंड रांची और 14 अन्य शहरों के लिए अगले 20-25 सालों में शहरी विकास को ध्यान में रखते हुए मास्टर प्लान में बदलाव करने जा रहा है। इस अपग्रेड में रांची जैसे शहरों से सटे 100 से ज़्यादा गाँवों को शामिल किया जाएगा, जिससे रांची के योजना क्षेत्र में काफी विस्तार हो सकता है। पिछले प्लानों के विपरीत, इस संशोधन में वर्तमान भूमि उपयोग और विकास पैटर्न की सटीक मैपिंग के लिए ड्रोन सर्वेक्षण का उपयोग किया जाएगा। इस पहल का उद्देश्य भविष्य में होने वाली अव्यवस्थित वृद्धि को रोकना और आवश्यक सार्वजनिक सुविधाओं का सुनियोजित विकास सुनिश्चित करना है।
