Natco Pharma Increases eGenesis Investment to $25 Million

Natco Pharma is significantly increasing its investment in the clinical-stage biotechnology firm eGenesis. The total planned investment will now reach $24.7 million, an increase from the previously announced $14 million. This enhanced funding will be channeled through Natco's Canadian subsidiary and Natco Pharma USA LLC. eGenesis is developing genetically modified pig organs for transplantation to address the global shortage of human organs. The company has already achieved a milestone with the world's first transplant of a genetically modified pig kidney into a human patient.
