Uganda has mandated a 21-day quarantine for its citizens returning from the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) to prevent the spread of Ebola. Health Minister Chris Baryomunsi announced the measure, which requires returnees to pay for their quarantine period. Officials have also enhanced screening at Entebbe International Airport and land borders. This comes amid concerns raised by Ebola cases in Kenya and Nigeria, with investigations ongoing into potential links and transmission routes. Uganda previously declared its own outbreak over in July, recording 20 infections and two deaths.
