This success is particularly notable as it includes two quotas for the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics in compound and recurve archery. While traditional powerhouses like shooting and athletics saw a dip in gold medals, archery maintained its strong showing, with a greater emphasis on the Olympic recurve discipline this year. The team comprised many debutants, including teenagers, highlighting a promising future for Indian archery.
