Uttarakhand Scheme Helps 106 Youth Secure Jobs Abroad

Uttarakhand has successfully placed 106 young individuals in overseas jobs through its Chief Minister’s Skill Upgradation and Global Employment Scheme. Launched in May 2023, the initiative aims to prepare youth for international employment by offering foreign language training at 158 centres. Currently, 75 individuals are working in Japan, one in Germany, and 30 in Saudi Arabia, primarily in healthcare and hospitality sectors. The state government plans to expand the program by establishing more training centres and aligning skills with global workforce demands, including exploring opportunities in Jamaica, Ethiopia, and Zambia.

उत्तराखंड ने मुख्यमंत्री कौशल उन्नयन एवं वैश्विक रोजगार योजना के ज़रिए 106 युवाओं को सफलतापूर्वक विदेश में नौकरी दिलाई है। मई 2023 में शुरू हुई इस स्कीम का मकसद 158 केंद्रों पर विदेशी भाषा का प्रशिक्षण देकर युवाओं को अंतरराष्ट्रीय रोज़गार के लिए तैयार करना है। फिलहाल, 75 लोग जापान में, एक जर्मनी में और 30 सऊदी अरब में काम कर रहे हैं, जो ज़्यादातर हेल्थकेयर और हॉस्पिटैलिटी सेक्टर में हैं। राज्य सरकार और ज़्यादा ट्रेनिंग सेंटर खोलकर और वैश्विक रोज़गार की ज़रूरतों के हिसाब से स्किल्स को बढ़ाकर इस प्रोग्राम को और फैलाना चाहती है, जिसमें जमैका, इथियोपिया और ज़ाम्बिया में भी मौके तलाशे जाएंगे।
