Famine is threatening the Ukrainian town of Oleshky in the occupied Kherson region, with food supplies cut off since May. Around 6,000 residents remain, struggling with critical shortages and relying on meager rations. Efforts to negotiate humanitarian evacuation corridors with Russia have been largely unsuccessful. The situation is dire, exacerbated by the town's flooding in June 2023. Residents face another harsh winter with limited access to basic necessities.
