The victims' families allege they were hung upside down and beaten. One victim is in critical condition. The MLA has denied the allegations, stating the domestic workers were merely questioned about the missing item.

उत्तर प्रदेश के मुरादाबाद में पुलिस भाजपा विधायक सुशांत सिंह के आवास पर तीन लोगों को अवैध रूप से बंधक बनाने और यातना देने के आरोपों की जांच कर रही है। शिकायतकर्ताओं का दावा है कि विधायक के बेटे के एक सोने के ब्रेसलेट के गायब होने के संबंध में उन्हें बिजली के झटके दिए गए और घावों पर नमक मल दिया गया। पीड़ितों के परिवारों का आरोप है कि उन्हें उल्टा लटकाकर पीटा गया। एक पीड़ित की हालत गंभीर है। विधायक ने आरोपों से इनकार किया है और कहा है कि घरेलू कर्मचारियों से केवल गायब वस्तु के बारे में पूछताछ की गई थी।
