Workers at the Tata Electronics and System Solutions plant in Kolar have raised concerns following the death of a 24-year-old colleague, Sreemanthi. They initiated a protest, demanding an inquiry into the medical assistance provided to her after she fell ill at the factory. Sreemanthi was initially attended to at the factory's health clinic before being shifted to Jalappa Hospital, where she later died. Police have registered an unnatural death case and are investigating the circumstances, while officials have assured workers that action will be taken if negligence is found.
