Sony TV's singing reality show 'Indian Idol' is set to launch its 17th season with a unique twist, titled 'Indian Idol: Legends Return'. Premiering, the show will feature 12 handpicked finalists and winners from the past 20 seasons competing against each other, instead of discovering new talent. Music director Himesh Reshammiya will return as a judge. This format change marks a significant departure from the show's previous 16 seasons, promising a high-stakes competition among established singers.
