TV9 Hindi · spirituality
The Hasanamba Temple in Karnataka's Hassan district, dedicated to Goddess Shakti, opens its doors to devotees only once a year around Diwali. A unique belief states that flowers offered and Prasad distributed remain fresh even after the temple's doors are sealed for the rest of the year. An eternal lamp is also said to remain lit. Devotees write their wishes on paper and place them before the goddess, believing she fulfills them. The temple, built in the 12th century, is managed by the district administration.
