CBI Registers FIR in Anti-Drug Activist Parvinder Singh Jhota's Murder Case

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has registered a case and taken over the investigation into the murder of anti-drug activist Parvinder Singh Jhota in Punjab's Mansa. A CBI team has reached Punjab to probe all aspects of the killing, following a demand from Jhota's family. Jhota was shot dead on October 13 inside a medical store after he questioned the owner about selling drugs. The incident occurred during a Facebook Live session and sparked a political row ahead of state polls.
