The 22-year-old mother, Asha Devi, was allegedly beaten to death with a stick by her husband, Sujit Paswan. Asha's family discovered the incident on Sunday after being alerted by a local resident. They found the house deserted, with the child alone in the courtyard. Relatives allege the couple frequently quarrelled over the children from their previous marriages. Police have launched a search for the husband and other family members who allegedly fled the scene.
