Essar Buys UK Fuel Retailer For $550 Million

Essar Energy Transition's retail arm has agreed to acquire UK fuel retailer SGN Retail for approximately $550 million. This acquisition will add 118 sites to Essar's network, bringing its total to 235 locations. The deal aims to create a vertically integrated fuel business in Britain. Essar plans to expand the network to 800 sites by 2031, supplying fuel from its Stanlow refinery.
