SP Claims Duplicate Voters in 100 UP Seats, Seeks Statewide Purge

The Samajwadi Party (SP) has alleged the presence of thousands of duplicate voters across 100 assembly constituencies in Uttar Pradesh. The party submitted a memorandum to the Chief Electoral Officer, demanding a booth-level scrutiny of electoral rolls in all 403 assembly segments. SP cited examples of individuals appearing multiple times with different EPIC numbers in constituencies like Chhibramau and Jaswantnagar. They are urging the Election Commission of India to remove duplicate names to ensure the fairness of the upcoming 2027 assembly elections.

समाजवादी पार्टी (सपा) ने उत्तर प्रदेश की 100 विधानसभा सीटों पर हजारों डुप्लीकेट मतदाताओं की मौजूदगी का आरोप लगाया है। पार्टी ने मुख्य चुनाव अधिकारी को एक ज्ञापन सौंपा, जिसमें सभी 403 विधानसभा क्षेत्रों में मतदाता सूची की बूथ-स्तर पर जांच की मांग की गई है। सपा ने छिबरामऊ और जसवंतनगर जैसे निर्वाचन क्षेत्रों में अलग-अलग EPIC नंबरों के साथ कई बार दिखाई देने वाले व्यक्तियों के उदाहरण दिए। वे भारत के चुनाव आयोग से आगामी 2027 विधानसभा चुनावों की निष्पक्षता सुनिश्चित करने के लिए डुप्लीकेट नामों को हटाने का आग्रह कर रहे हैं।
