Pakistan's Army has successfully test-launched its Fatah-2 Extended Range hypersonic ballistic missile, which features advanced navigation and avionics for high-precision targeting and defeating enemy defenses. The military stated the extended range will enhance Pakistan's ability to engage deep targets. This test follows days after Pakistan launched an extended-range version of its Fatah-4 cruise missile. The Fatah-II is an upgrade to the Fatah-I, offering longer range and improved accuracy. This development occurs against the backdrop of Operation Sindoor, where India successfully intercepted Pakistani missile strikes.
