Times of India · politics
The Election Commission has announced an extended opportunity for voters excluded from draft electoral rolls in seven states to apply for inclusion. This directive specifically targets electors whose names were omitted after being classified as Absent, Shifted, Dead, or Duplicate (ASDD) during the ongoing Special Intensive Revision exercise. The affected states include Delhi, Maharashtra, Haryana, Andhra Pradesh, Jharkhand, Telangana, and Nagaland. Officials are instructed to implement a monitoring system to ensure no eligible voter is denied inclusion while preventing duplicate entries.
