Ola Electric Ordered to Replace Scooter or Refund Buyer After Day 2 Breakdown

An Aligarh consumer forum has ordered Ola Electric to either replace a faulty scooter or refund its Rs 1.02 lakh purchase price with 10% annual interest. The buyer, Vaibhav Sharma, reported issues with the parking lock on the first day of purchase in January 2024. The scooter then stopped working entirely on the second day. Despite repeated attempts to get it fixed, the company allegedly closed his complaints without resolution. The forum also awarded Rs 10,000 for mental harassment and Rs 5,000 for litigation costs.

अलीगढ़ के एक उपभोक्ता फोरम ने Ola Electric को एक खराब स्कूटर को बदलने या उसकी ₹1.02 लाख की खरीद कीमत 10% वार्षिक ब्याज के साथ वापस करने का आदेश दिया है। खरीदार, वैभव शर्मा, ने जनवरी 2024 में खरीद के पहले ही दिन पार्किंग लॉक में समस्या की सूचना दी थी। इसके बाद दूसरे दिन स्कूटर पूरी तरह से काम करना बंद कर गया। कंपनी द्वारा बार-बार ठीक कराने की कोशिशों के बावजूद, कंपनी ने कथित तौर पर उनकी शिकायतों का समाधान किए बिना बंद कर दिया। फोरम ने मानसिक उत्पीड़न के लिए ₹10,000 और मुकदमेबाजी की लागत के लिए ₹5,000 का भी भुगतान करने का आदेश दिया।
