Supreme Court Directs Normal Metro, Uninterrupted Internet Amid Delhi Protests

The Supreme Court held a special hearing on Sunday regarding curbs in Delhi, issuing five key directives. It ordered that metro and rail services must function normally, and free movement of people should be permitted, subject to traffic regulations. Internet facilities are to remain undisturbed, and no peaceful, unarmed protesters should be detained except by due legal process. The court also directed the Solicitor General to ensure lawyers and journalists are not obstructed while performing their duties.

सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने रविवार को दिल्ली में लगी पाबंदियों को लेकर एक विशेष सुनवाई की और पांच अहम निर्देश जारी किए। कोर्ट ने कहा कि मेट्रो और रेल सेवाएं सामान्य रूप से चलनी चाहिए, और लोगों की आवाजाही की इजाजत दी जानी चाहिए, लेकिन ट्रैफिक नियमों का पालन हो। इंटरनेट सेवाएं बाधित नहीं होनी चाहिए, और किसी भी शांतिपूर्ण, निहत्थे प्रदर्शनकारी को कानूनी प्रक्रिया के बिना गिरफ्तार नहीं किया जाना चाहिए। कोर्ट ने सॉलिसिटर जनरल को यह भी निर्देश दिया कि वकील और पत्रकारों को उनके काम में कोई बाधा न हो।
