BJP Leader Suggests CEC Dnyanesh Kumar For Padma

While the opposition demands the resignation of CEC Dnyanesh Kumar, BJP leader Samik Bhattacharya has proposed he be awarded the Padma Bhushan for his service. Bhattacharya praised Kumar for conducting peaceful elections in West Bengal without bloodshed and for initiating the removal of Bangladeshi infiltrators from the voter list. This comes amidst a Supreme Court petition seeking criminal action against Kumar for alleged violations during the voter list revision process. The Congress party has also intensified its protests nationwide, demanding Kumar's resignation.

विपक्ष जहाँ मुख्य चुनाव आयुक्त (CEC) ज्ञानेश कुमार के इस्तीफे की मांग कर रहा है, वहीं बीजेपी नेता समीक़ भट्टाचार्य ने उनकी सेवाओं के लिए उन्हें पद्म भूषण देने का प्रस्ताव रखा है। भट्टाचार्य ने पश्चिम बंगाल में शांतिपूर्ण चुनाव कराने और मतदाता सूची से बांग्लादेशी घुसपैठियों को हटाने की पहल के लिए उनकी सराहना की। यह सब सुप्रीम कोर्ट में उनके खिलाफ याचिका के बीच हुआ है। कांग्रेस भी देशभर में विरोध प्रदर्शन कर रही है।
