Student Death Sparks Protest Over Teacher Harassment Allegations

Students at a government welfare college in Nagarkurnool district protested on Friday following the suicide of a first-year student, Bharat, four days prior. The students alleged harassment by two teachers, Prabhakar and Shankar Reddy, as the reason for Bharat's death. Police intervened and assured an investigation into the allegations. Officials from the BC Welfare Department have also met with students and are expected to take departmental action.
