Former India pacer Sanjeev Sharma believes that skills like seam, swing, control, and game awareness are more vital than just raw speed. He emphasizes that bowlers who master the basics of red-ball cricket can adapt to any format, including T10. Sharma, who played for India between 1988 and 1990, noted that many fast bowlers lack essential skills despite bowling at high speeds. He advises aspiring pacers to focus on fundamentals and hone their abilities during the off-season to become complete bowlers.
