Airbnb Bans Hosts From Requiring Guests To Do Major Cleaning Tasks

Times of India · business

Airbnb has announced new rules prohibiting hosts from requiring guests to perform significant cleaning duties, effective November 20. These restrictions prevent hosts from demanding tasks like stripping beds, washing dishes, or removing trash offsite, which are typically handled by professional cleaners. While hosts can still request guests put dirty dishes in a sink or manage trash in specific containers, they cannot bypass the rules by placing instructions elsewhere.
