Vigilance along the Gandak river and its embankments has been heightened due to a forecast of heavy rainfall in Nepal to. The water resources department is closely monitoring vulnerable points and has observed an increase in water discharge from the Gandak barrage. Nepal's administration has alerted India about potential rising river levels. Meanwhile, intensified erosion at Naukatola is washing away agricultural land, forcing farmers to harvest crops prematurely. Anti-erosion measures are being deployed to control the situation.
