Supreme Court Rejects Tamil Nadu's Plea On Hindi

The Supreme Court has rejected Tamil Nadu's plea to recall an interim order directing the state to find land for Navodaya Vidyalayas. The court emphasized that Hindi cannot be excluded from the state and urged dialogue with the Centre on language issues. Tamil Nadu had opposed the schools, fearing Hindi imposition over Tamil. The top court stated that the state must engage in talks with the Centre in the spirit of cooperative.

सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने हिंदी पर तमिलनाडु की याचिका खारिज की

सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने तमिलनाडु की उस अर्जी को खारिज कर दिया जिसमें नवोदय विद्यालयों के लिए जमीन खोजने के अंतरिम आदेश को वापस लेने की मांग की गई थी। कोर्ट ने जोर दिया कि राज्य में हिंदी को बाहर नहीं रखा जा सकता और भाषा के मुद्दों पर केंद्र के साथ बातचीत का आग्रह किया। तमिलनाडु ने हिंदी थोपने के डर से स्कूलों का विरोध किया था। शीर्ष अदालत ने कहा कि राज्य को सहकारी भावना से केंद्र के साथ बातचीत करनी चाहिए।
