An income tax raid in Delhi uncovered Rs 1.12 crore in cash and Rs 4.34 lakh in foreign currency at a man's residence. The man, a company director, explained the cash was withdrawn by his company due to demonetisation fears and kept at his home. He also claimed the foreign currency belonged to his sister-in-law, an airline employee. While the Income Tax Investigation team accepted the explanation, the Assessing Officer treated both amounts as unexplained income.

दिल्ली में आयकर की छापेमारी में एक व्यक्ति के घर से 1.12 करोड़ रुपये नकद और 4.34 लाख रुपये विदेशी मुद्रा जब्त की गई। कंपनी के निदेशक ने बताया कि नोटबंदी के डर से कंपनी ने यह नकद निकाला था और घर पर रखा था। उन्होंने यह भी दावा किया कि विदेशी मुद्रा उनकी साली की थी, जो एक एयरलाइन कर्मचारी हैं। आयकर जांच दल ने स्पष्टीकरण स्वीकार कर लिया, लेकिन मूल्यांकन अधिकारी ने दोनों राशियों को अघोषित आय माना।
