Punjab Finance Minister Promises Grant for Agri Varsity Hostels

Punjab Finance Minister Harpal Singh Cheema has assured Punjab Agricultural University (PAU) of a grant to improve its boys' and girls' hostels. He requested the university submit cost estimates for the proposed allocation. The announcement was made during the inauguration of the university's Inter-College Youth Festival 2026-27.

पंजाब के वित्त मंत्री हरपाल सिंह चीमा ने पंजाब कृषि विश्वविद्यालय (PAU) को लड़कों और लड़कियों के हॉस्टलों को बेहतर बनाने के लिए अनुदान का आश्वासन दिया है। उन्होंने विश्वविद्यालय से प्रस्तावित आवंटन के लिए लागत अनुमान जमा करने का अनुरोध किया। चीमा ने पंजाब को 'भारत का अन्न भंडार' बनाने में PAU के महत्वपूर्ण योगदान पर प्रकाश डाला और राज्य सरकार की इसके बुनियादी ढांचे के विकास का समर्थन करने की प्रतिबद्धता की पुष्टि की। यह घोषणा विश्वविद्यालय के इंटर-कॉलेज यूथ फेस्टिवल 2026-27 के उद्घाटन के दौरान की गई थी।
