Angry residents in North Chennai staged a road blockade on Paper Mills Road in Perambur early Saturday after an unscheduled power cut lasting over two hours. The disruption affected DD Thottam and surrounding areas, occurring amidst reports of multiple power outages across Chennai between Friday evening and Saturday morning. TNPDCL officials cited feeder cable faults and repair work for the outages. Residents expressed frustration over repeated night-time power cuts impacting daily life and raised concerns about coordination between civic authorities and the electricity board.

चेन्नई में बिजली कटौती पर लोगों ने सड़क रोकी

शनिवार तड़के दो घंटे से ज़्यादा चली बिजली कटौती के बाद उत्तरी चेन्नई के पेपर मिल्स रोड, पेराम्बुर पर गुस्साए लोगों ने सड़क जाम कर दिया। इस वजह से डीडी थोट्टम और आसपास के इलाकों में परेशानी हुई। यह घटना शुक्रवार शाम से शनिवार सुबह के बीच चेन्नई में कई बिजली कटौती की खबरों के बीच हुई। TNPDCL अधिकारियों ने कटौती का कारण फ़ीडर केबल में खराबी और मरम्मत कार्य बताया। लोगों ने रात में बार-बार होने वाली बिजली कटौती से रोज़मर्रा की ज़िंदगी पर पड़ रहे असर पर नाराज़गी जताई और नागरिक अधिकारियों और बिजली बोर्ड के बीच तालमेल पर चिंता जताई।
