13 Tourists Fined For Off-Roading In Ladakh

Twelve bikers from Gurgaon and one SUV driver from Uttar Pradesh have been fined a total of Rs 1.7 lakh for off-roading in Ladakh's protected areas, including near Tso Moriri. This action is part of an ongoing crackdown by wildlife officials against tourists violating environmental regulations. Such activities pose a significant threat to Ladakh's fragile ecosystem and biodiversity.

लद्दाख के संरक्षित इलाकों में ऑफ-रोडिंग करने पर गुरुग्राम के बारह बाइकर्स और उत्तर प्रदेश के एक एसयूवी ड्राइवर पर कुल 1.7 लाख रुपये का जुर्माना लगाया गया है। यह कार्रवाई वन्यजीव अधिकारियों द्वारा पर्यावरण नियमों का उल्लंघन करने वाले पर्यटकों के खिलाफ चल रहे अभियान का हिस्सा है। ऐसी गतिविधियाँ लद्दाख के नाजुक पारिस्थितिकी तंत्र और जैव विविधता के लिए बड़ा खतरा पैदा करती हैं।
