October Bank Holidays: Banks To Remain Closed

Indian banks will be closed for 16 days in October due to various holidays and regular weekend offs. While some holidays like Mahatma Gandhi Jayanti and Dussehra will be observed nationwide, many others are state-specific. These include Mahasaptami in Agartala, Maha Ashtami and Durga Puja across multiple cities, and Lakshmi Puja in certain cities. Additionally, banks observe weekly offs every and the second and fourth Saturdays of the month.

भारतीय बैंक अक्टूबर में विभिन्न छुट्टियों और नियमित साप्ताहिक अवकाशों के कारण 16 दिनों के लिए बंद रहेंगे। जहाँ महात्मा गांधी जयंती और दशहरा जैसी कुछ छुट्टियाँ पूरे देश में मनाई जाएँगी, वहीं कई अन्य राज्य-विशिष्ट हैं। इनमें अगरतला में महासप्तमी, कई शहरों में महा अष्टमी और दुर्गा पूजा, और कुछ शहरों में लक्ष्मी पूजा शामिल हैं। इसके अतिरिक्त, बैंक हर रविवार और महीने के दूसरे और चौथे शनिवार को साप्ताहिक अवकाश मनाते हैं।
