TV9 Hindi · stocks
Foreign Portfolio Investors (FPIs) have withdrawn ₹48,056 crore from the Indian stock market in October so far. This selling spree is driven by high crude oil prices, rising West Asian tensions, inflation concerns, and weak corporate earnings. Despite this, their selling pace slowed last week, and they were net buyers in two sessions. FPI withdrawals from Indian equities have now reached over ₹3.08 lakh crore in 2023, significantly exceeding the ₹1.66 lakh crore withdrawn in all of 2022. They also remained net sellers in the Indian debt market during October.
