Annu Kapoor Slams Naseeruddin Shah Over 'Dimagi Naxal' Remark

Times of India · entertainment

Veteran actor Annu Kapoor has expressed strong reservations about Naseeruddin Shah's recent 'Dimagi Naxal' statement, questioning his commitment to India's interests. Shah had declared himself a 'Dimagi Naxal' in a video supporting Jamia Millia Islamia students protesting for the restoration of their student union. Kapoor doubts Shah's genuine concern for the country's welfare, stating that democracy allows such freedom of expression. Filmmaker Ashoke Pandit also criticized Shah, calling him a compulsive abuser and suggesting his insecurity stems from the success of films like 'The Kashmir Files' and 'The Kerala Story'.
