Salman Khan and Satnam Singh became the first Indian crew to medal in men's double sculls at the Asian Games, saving Indian rowing from an embarrassing blank. Khan, an Army naib subedar, and Singh, a Navy petty officer, came together for India in Nagoya. They finished the race in 6.13 minutes, narrowly missing out on second place.
